Srushti started to get ready for her UPSC examination during her 3rd year as a student in engineering. After her graduation she started to wonder whether or not she would enjoy a career in engineer position. Then she realized the dream job she wanted was working in the civil service. She decided to pursue this. Her parents encouraged her to concentrate on civil rights and get a job serving the people. Her motivation was constant and she focused only on becoming the IAS officer. You need to put in more effort to be successful at UPSC. She would prepare for UPSC subject areas while she was studying her engineering. The time she allocated for exam preparation every day. She was able to pass the exams for engineers in less than one and a half months. She stayed clear of social activities as well as social media altogether. Her belief is that focus and concentration are essential for a successful test to become a government official. She set out to make it through the exam with ease, and she was able to put in a lot of effort. Daily, she would read the newspaper to keep abreast of current affairs. Also, she got lots of help online, by accumulating studies materials and watching Rajya Sabha TV.
